Application Process

Always Hiring!

Teachers On Call is always looking for great substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, food service, and custodial staff to work in public school districts, private and charter schools and Early Childhood Education Centers.

Step 1:  Select appropriate application link below to get started as a substitute teacher, paraprofessional, custodial worker, or food service worker.

  • New Applicant K-12:  Choose this if you are a new substitute, or new to Teachers On Call, and want to work in our K-12 division
  • Transitioning District Subs:  Choose this application if you are currently working as a substitute in a district that is transitioning over to Teachers On Call
  • New Applicant Early Childhood Education Choose this to apply to work as an ECE sub in the Twin Cities Metro or Milwaukee area

Step 2:  Enter in background and educational information and submit application.

Step 3:  We will conduct an interview (phone or in person), if applicable.

Step 4: Complete background check, New Hire Paperwork, and mandatory trainings.

  • A reference check is also required for New Applicants.

Step 5:  You are hired! Complete orientation and start work as a substitute.
