Webinar - Best Practices for Using Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
All kids act out sometimes. But if a child’s behavior at school is making it hard for them to learn, their IEP Team may create a behavior intervention plan, or BIP. A BIP is a written plan to help a student who struggles with behavior. It’s designed to change problem behaviors by rewarding good behaviors. The plan gives teachers and paraeducators a clear set of behavioral goals for the child and describes strategies to help the child meet those goals. This new webinar in the Best Practices series works through what a BIP is and how to work with the student for whom it is created.
We will be holding this event on Tuesday, December 12 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm (CST) and is accessible through any computer, tablet or smart phone. This course is open for any current Teachers On Call staff or applicant. After completion of this course, completion letters will be issued via email, which may be submitted for CEU's.
This is a voluntary, unpaid professional development opportunity provided for Kelly Education and Teachers On Call employees.
