Northwest Milwaukee - Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training
Teachers On Call will be providing the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (by the Crisis Prevention Institute) for all subs interested in learning about intervention techniques on Monday, March 25th from 8:30am - 4:30pm. This training was designed by CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) to help educators focus on prevention tactics when dealing with behavior management. Participants will learn different strategies for safely defusing anxious, hostile, or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage. This training will help reduce the risk of injury, it complies with legislative mandates, meets accreditation standards, improves staff retention, and promotes care and safety for all individuals. The training will be held at Hamilton High School, located at W220 N6151 Townline Rd, Sussex, WI 53089, in the Large Group Area.
Cost for the training is $25.00, which includes all materials. Please follow the instructions and pay through PayPal when registering. All participants who complete the day's training will be NCI certified for 2 years. Lunch will be provided. Parking Directions: As the Hamilton High School is currenlty under construction, park on the south end of the building, between the Fine Arts Center and Athlettic Center. School will not be in session, so you may park in either the visitor parking spaces, or any other spaces available in the student lot. Enter the building through the cafeteria doors and follow the map to the LGA (Large Group Area).
