Job Description - Teachers, Assistants, and Aides

Job Duties

  • Tend to and protect children’s physical, emotional and social needs
  • Tend to routine care needs, including feeding, napping, diapering etc.
  • Provide a respectful, nurturing and safe play environment for each child
  • Interact with children in meaningful play
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a team environment

Job Expectations

  • Be available to work on an on-call basis to accept daily, weekly and/or long term opportunities
  • Follow through with scheduled assignments
  • Schedule non-work days through the Aesop automated system when you are not available to work

Skills and Specifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a strong desire to work with young children
  • Teacher positions: must have an AA or CDA with 2 years of experience, a BA or BS Degree in Early Childhood Education or similar field and one year of experience or a H.S. Diploma and 4,160 hours of experience
  • Teacher Assistant positions: must have at least 12 post-secondary credits in Early Childcare development or related field.  Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.  A high school diploma and GED
  • Teacher Aide positions: must have at least a high school diploma or GED
