    Building Substitute Program

    How do I get started?

You may use the electronic form linked here to request building substitutes.

How does the building substitute program work?

The building substitute program is meant to ensure you have a consistent substitute report to your school each day to float within the building and assist as needed to cover last minute absences. Guaranteed assignment and pay for the building substitute for the agreed upon duration if school continues to teach students in-person. The length of assignment and amount of pay will be negotiated between TOC and the school and/or district.

What is the building substitute paid?

Your school or district will set the pay rate for the building substitute. Substitute teachers are paid based on the full or half day. In the event there is an early release during a school day, building substitute will be paid for all hours worked as required by law.

Where does the building substitute work?

When a building substitute is commits to an assignment, they are not required to travel to or instruct at a different school campus or location.
