Teachers On Call specializes in recruiting talented and experienced education professionals who are able to step into a classroom as a substitute with minimal direction. As teachers ourselves, we are confident in our ability to identify the outstanding characteristics of successful teachers and relieve you from the time-consuming burden of recruiting and calling personnel. We investigate an employee's work history, credentials, and education training to ensure that our candidates are qualified and comply with the regulations of the Minnesota Department of Education. In addition to a person’s background, we know that personality, attitude and educational philosophy impact a substitute's success in the classroom.

We proactively recruit K-12 licensed teachers and paraprofessionals. All of our substitute teachers carry to their assigned school a credential folder, including their personal information form, license, and specific Virtus training certification to meet the Catholic schools' additional requirements. Teachers On Call maintains a large database of qualified paraprofessionals and K-12 licensed teachers, so we can anticipate your needs before you call!

Teachers On Call substitutes arrive a half hour before school starts to review material that may be unfamiliar, and gather needed materials for the day. Our teachers feel comfortable asking other teachers and staff members questions in order to provide the best educational experience for the students in the absence of their regular teacher. Teachers On Call substitutes are experienced in setting up classroom rules and have strong classroom management skills. At the end of the day, the Teachers On Call substitute will make sure the room is in order before leaving. Additionally, they will leave a substitute teacher daily report about the events of day, successes and challenges.
